It looks pretty sweet, from what I can tell the merc who lands in the middle when they deploy is holding a laser rifle and the two on either side have HMGs. |

Can we have cross dressing in Dust? I want my muscular man merc to be pretty... maybe I'll put lipstick on him. I posted again about the hmg but you didn't post back I've given up on that argument, as obviously you disagree and it's going to up to CCP to decide whether or not there is a sight on the HMG.
As much as a sight on the HMG would be awesome. It could cause people to ask for one on the Forge gun, that would be awesome too, which would cause alot more "What The F***?" moments as they get blasted from halfway across the map by an even more accurate FG. |

You sir, are correct. Though it may not stop some people crying out for it in the thought it will help them with a kill shot. At the same time 4x and 5x zoom would be far too much, 1x or 2x would be more manageable but still kind of unnecessary. What about when you use L1 it puts you into a brace stance which provides 25-50% stability for the Forge Gun?
And the only way I could think of adding a sight to a HMG would be having a targeting computer in one of the low slots that zooms via the mercs visor as it would be impractical to lift the HMG to eye level. |

Actually the hmg could with a slight modification. If you put the trigger at the bottom it's starting position would be the same as an AR
You make a fair point with the re-design of the HMG, but we also need to take into account the weight of the HMG for shouldering it and how much a sight would actually help due to its decreased accuracy over distance.
Would a LMG not be more suitable for this, with slightly higher ROF, lower damage and more accuracy at range? |

True, hopefully lazers will bridge the gap. We'll have to wait and see. |

I wouldn't mind if we could "deploy" forge guns, becoming a stationary target with increased stability. However, deploying it would have to take a reasonable amount of time, I would hate to see people dropping a tripod, killing, and picking it back up all in 3 or 4 seconds. Perhaps this same option could be viable for HMG's, I could see an iron sight being viable if this were possible. Could make finding strategic deployment locations very valuable.
I really don't think a tri-pod would be a good idea, I was thinking of the suits servo locking in a specific cycle designed to reduce instability and spread some of the shake towards the legs inorder to dissapate some of it. |

Hopefully there will be different classes both anti-infantry and anti-vehicle.
